PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dutch Kincaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Manalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manalo has chosen "Encarnacion!" as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kincaid moves into the clinch successfully.
Kincaid stalling in the clinch.
Manalo tries to break the clinch but Kincaid is controlling the position.
Kincaid tries to score a body lock takedown but Manalo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Manalo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kincaid smiles and moves away.

Manalo pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Manalo throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Kincaid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Manalo jumps guard but Kincaid stands there with Manalo around his waist. Manalo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kincaid has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Manalo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dutch Kincaid. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Kincaid breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Kincaid counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Kincaid tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Manalo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kincaid gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Manalo tries to land knees in the clinch but Kincaid avoids the damage to the body.
Manalo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Kincaid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Kincaid counters with a thumping low kick.

and Kincaid counters with a big head kick but Manalo shrugs it off.

Kincaid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Manalo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kincaid is breathing heavily.Manalo is trying to control Kincaid's posture but Kincaid avoids it.
Kincaid will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kincaid is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Manalo has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manalo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kincaid off and has taken his back!
Manalo lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

That was a close round but I would say that Dutch Kincaid will probably get the nod.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dutch Kincaid will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Apollo Manalo.
I think Kincaid has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
