Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Skookum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skookum has chosen Akfam as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Skookum!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skookum fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Skookum is letting Jenkins control him for a moment.
Jenkins tries to advance to mount but can't.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins takes a little break here. Skookum wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Skookum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Skookum is trying to get back to half guard.
Skookum avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jenkins.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jenkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jenkins is looking to wear down Skookum with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Skookum shoots in looking for a takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl out of it but Skookum keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jenkins manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Skookum tries to clinch but Jenkins moves out of range.

Skookum tries to counter by closing the distance.
Skookum tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jenkins defends well and Skookum ends up having to push Jenkins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Jenkins is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Skookum really wants to buck Jenkins off and get back to his feet.

Skookum sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jenkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skookum tries to avoid it but Jenkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skookum to the ground. Skookum escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
William Skookum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Skookum tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jenkins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jenkins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Skookum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jenkins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
