Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darren Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lynch's choice of entrance music: War by Hed Pe. Darren Martin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lucas Lynch's chin.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lynch tries to sprawl but Martin drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Martin connects with a nice short shot to Lynch's temple.
Lynch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lynch is pressing down on Martin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Lynch has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the ropes to get back to his feet. Martin has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the ropes.

Martin tightens his grip and picks Lynch up, before dumping him to the ground. Lynch manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lynch has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

A relieved looking Darren Martin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
