Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Battou Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferreira has chosen Til I Colapse as his entrance music. Andre Ferreira will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marques throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ferreira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferreira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Marques seems a little lost for a moment, as Ferreira dominates the positioning.

Ferreira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marques knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Marques gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Andre Ferreira just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ferreira shoots for a double leg takedown but Marques sprawls well. He's pushed Ferreira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ferreira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Marques tries to avoid it but Ferreira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Marques to the ground. Marques escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
