Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasmussen has chosen Era – Ameno as his entrance music. Christian Rasmussen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Rasmussen!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasmussen connects with a leg kick. Morris looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Morris walks into a straight right hand from Rasmussen.
Morris looks to clinch
and Rasmussen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rasmussen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rasmussen lands a head kick. Morris smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Rasmussen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Morris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Morris takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rasmussen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Morris eats them both and turns towards Rasmussen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rasmussen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Morris misses with a two punch combination.
Morris tries to clinch but Rasmussen is having none of it.
Donk. Rasmussen catches Morris right on the button with a cross.
Morris takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rasmussen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Morris backs up against the cage.
Morris fails to land with a series of punches.
Rasmussen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rasmussen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Morris's calf.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rasmussen has managed to clinch.
Rasmussen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Morris's face.
Morris is trying to pull guard but Rasmussen has him pressed against the cage.
Rasmussen lands a right hand.
Rasmussen lands a knee to the head.

Morris is rocked!
Morris is trying to pull guard but Rasmussen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Oh Morris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rasmussen has Morris pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Morris is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Rasmussen - that's hurt Morris badly! Oh, another knee lands and Morris is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Morris doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Christian Rasmussen!
