Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jean Louis Georgelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Dingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Georgelin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Estiva - Strawberry fields (Original mix). Jean Louis Georgelin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Louis Georgelin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt Dingo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dingo closes the distance and clinches.

Dingo lands with a kick to the temple. Georgelin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dingo, as that shot connected.
A clash of legs there as Dingo blocks the low kick.
Georgelin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dingo to score with a decent uppercut.
Dingo lands a front kick.
Dingo digs a good hook to Georgelin's body.
Georgelin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Dingo's corner calls for a 1-2. Dingo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Georgelin gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dingo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dingo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dingo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Georgelin is looking for a sweep.

Georgelin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dingo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dingo has escaped and now he's on top!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dingo tries to hold on but Georgelin postures up.

Georgelin has hold of Dingo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dingo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Georgelin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Dingo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Dingo and Georgelin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Georgelin is breathing heavily.
Dingo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Georgelin off and has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Dingo's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
You can see the frustration on Georgelin's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Louis Georgelin.
I think Dingo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
