These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter Vlll bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Genia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lecter Vlll was well out of range. Poor timing from Genia.
Genia uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lecter Vlll has time to react.
Lecter Vlll pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Lecter Vlll tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lecter Vlll looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Genia is fending him off so far but Lecter Vlll persists. Nope, Genia circles away and we're back to standing.
Lecter Vlll takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lecter Vlll tries to move into range but Genia moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Genia lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Genia tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lecter Vlll tries to score with a low kick but Genia moves his leg out of the way.
Genia lands an overhand right.

It looks like Hannibal Lecter Vlll has been cut.
Good leg kick by Genia there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Lecter Vlll counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Genia drops his hands momentarily and Lecter Vlll takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Genia scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Genia fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lecter Vlll looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Genia, right into the meat.
Lecter Vlll fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Genia is out of range.
A combination from Genia does no damage.
Will Genia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Genia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lecter Vlll.
Lecter Vlll throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Genia chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lecter Vlll can pounce on him.
Genia uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lecter Vlll has time to react.
Genia throws a nice looking combination but Lecter Vlll bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Genia misses with a hook.
Lecter Vlll swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Genia bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lecter Vlll's head backwards.
Genia bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lecter Vlll's head.

Genia pounces like a tiger and cracks Lecter Vlll with a vicious hook! Lecter Vlll is down but not out! Genia follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
