Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Viggo Heitannan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Andre Haack!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heitannan connects with the punch.
Haack moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Haack misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Heitannan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
An inside leg kick lands from Haack.
Haack tries a head kick but it misses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Haack checks a leg kick.
Haack swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Heitannan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Heitannan takes a swing at Haack's ribcage but misses.
Haack lands with an uppercut that bounces Heitannan off the cage and back into range.
Haack fakes the leg kick and cracks Heitannan in the body.
Heitannan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haack moves away.
Heitannan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Haack does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Heitannan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Heitannan throws a sloppy head kick and Haack moves out of range easily.

Haack has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Donk. Haack catches Heitannan right on the button with a cross.
Haack wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Heitannan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Haack on the side of the head.
Heitannan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Haack lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Haack scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Heitannan walks into a left hand.
Heitannan takes one to the chin there.
Haack scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Heitannan throws a solid leg kick but Haack takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Heitannan.

Heitannan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haack was well out of range. Poor timing from Heitannan.

Haack throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Heitannan's head.

It looks like Viggo Heitannan has been cut.
Haack throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Heitannan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Haack is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Heitannan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Heitannan is breathing heavily.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Haack.
Heitannan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Haack.
Haack keeps Heitannan at a distance using the push kick.
Haack cracks the inside of Heitannan's front leg.
Heitannan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Haack scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Haack fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Heitannan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heitannan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Haack to score with a decent uppercut.
Haack throws a nice outside leg kick.
Heitannan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Haack can pounce on him.

A slapping body kick lands there for Haack.
Haack has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Haack lands with a nice body kick.

Crunch! Haack slams his shin into Heitannan's torso.
Heitannan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Haack can pounce on him.
Haack lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Haack throws a head kick that half lands.
Haack throws a quick inside leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Haack gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Heitannan will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Haack 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Heitannan throws a right hand that misses
and Haack counters with a nice uppercut.
A solid body kick from Haack.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Haack lands a nice looking kick to the body. Heitannan takes a step back to recover.
Haack lands a head kick. Heitannan smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Heitannan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Haack.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Haack. Heitannan shrugs it off though.
Haack blocks a head kick by Heitannan.
Heitannan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Haack connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Heitannan scrambles back to his feet.

Haack lands a really nice looking cross but Heitannan seems unphased.
Heitannan misses the shot to the body.
Haack steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Haack clobbers Heitannan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Heitannan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Haack - the referee stops the clock and Heitannan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Haack. Heitannan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Haack lands a big head kick that sends Heitannan tumbling to the mat! Haack takes a step backwards and waves Heitannan back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Heitannan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Haack counters with a stiff right hand.

Haack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Heitannan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Heitannan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Heitannan ducks right into an uppercut from Haack.
Haack connects with a solid leg kick.
Haack circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Heitannan drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Haack follows Heitannan to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
