Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tre Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Shogun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tre Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julio Shogun!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz lands with a kick to the ribs.
Cruz throws a hook but Shogun avoids it easily.
Cruz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Cruz scores with a spinning back kick!
Shogun has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shogun looks winded!
Cruz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cruz throws a big shot that misses.
Shogun with the counter takedown but Cruz avoids it easily.
Cruz lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Cruz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Shogun doesn't seem bothered though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cruz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That kick from Cruz tenderised Shogun's leg. Shogun is trying to keep his angry face on.
Cruz checks a leg kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Cruz misses its target.
Cruz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Cruz cracks Shogun with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cruz has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shogun to stand back up!

Shogun is rocked!

It looks like Julio Shogun has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cruz lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Shogun head around and knocks him out cold! Cruz hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tre Cruz!
An out of breath and clearly excited Tre Cruz thanked Underworld Clothing for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
