Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Akihiko Yamato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Julien Hoffmann!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yamato forces Hoffmann back against the cage and clinches.
Hoffmann throws a punch but it's blocked by Yamato.
Hoffmann's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Yamato lands a body shot.
Yamato lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hoffmann backwards.
Yamato digs a right hand into Hoffmann's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hoffmann's gas tank.
Yamato lands an elbow inside that Hoffmann shrugs off.


It looks like Julien Hoffmann has been cut.
Yamato lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Yamato gets through Hoffmann's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Yamato pushes Hoffmann back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hoffmann looks winded!
Yamato lands with a short shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A body shot lands from Yamato.
Yamato lands with a left to the head.
Yamato lands with a right to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Yamato.
Hoffmann wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yamato has him pressed against the cage.
Yamato lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Hoffmann looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Yamato lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hoffmann or not.
Yamato landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Hoffmann is pressed against the cage. Yamato pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Hoffmann! Two more big strikes from Yamato and Hoffmann crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Akihiko Yamato!
