Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Coby Skrilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skrilla comes into the arena with UGK - Bump and Grill blaring out of the sound system. Davis has chosen . as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ryan Davis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Skrilla scores with a crisp jab that stopped Davis in his tracks.
Davis misses with a straight left.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Davis takes a jab right on the kisser.

It looks like Ryan Davis has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Skrilla lands with an uppercut that bounces Davis off the cage and back into rage.
Davis takes one to the chin there.
Davis swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Skrilla counters with a right hand that sends Davis tumbling to the canvas! Can Skrilla finish him? He dives into Davis's guard looking to do just that!
Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Skrilla content to stall in guard here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Skrilla passes Davis's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Skrilla slows the pace down in half guard.
Davis tries to roll over but Skrilla keeps him under control.
Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Skrilla stalling.
Skrilla prevents Davis from improving his position.
Skrilla will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Davis missing with a left hand there. Skrilla was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Coby Skrilla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skrilla scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
No joy there for Skrilla, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Coby Skrilla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Skrilla cracks Davis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

That has opened up Ryan Davis's cut even more.
Davis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Skrilla misses with a low kick.
A jab lands there for Skrilla.
No joy there for Skrilla, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Skrilla is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.

Skrilla with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Davis looks gassed!
Skrilla drops Davis with a nice combination! Skrilla dives into Davis's guard, looking to finish!

Davis is rocked!

The cut above Ryan Davis's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Skrilla gets to his feet - Davis follows without any prompting.
Davis misses the body punch
and Skrilla counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Skrilla feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Davis sprawling to the canvas! Davis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Skrilla finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Skrilla's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Skrilla lands a nice shot to the body.
Skrilla buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Skrilla. That's going to slow Davis down.
Skrilla throws a nice inside leg kick.
Skrilla throws a low kick but it's checked well by Davis.
Davis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Skrilla.

Ryan Davis's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
