Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall Kent will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jay Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randall Kent!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kent counters with a thumping low kick.
Kent connects with a leg kick. Kush looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kush misses with a right hand
and Kent counters with an outside leg kick.
Kent lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kent uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kush.
The fighters circling - Kush throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kent feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kush's calf.
Kush chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kent can pounce on him.
Kush throws a series of punches but Kent moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kent.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kush is trying to break free.
Kent lands a nice knee to the body.
Kush managing to block the knees to the body from Kent.
Kent misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kush.

Kush is trying to push Kent away but Kent has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kush blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Kush throws a hook but Kent blocks it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kush will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kent avoids the body shot from Kush.

Kent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kent is looking to clinch but Kush is avoiding it.
A solid body kick from Kent.
Kent wants to clinch.
Kush lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kent circles away quickly and effectively.
Good leg kick by Kent there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both fighters circling a little - Kent finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Kush misses the target.
Kent throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kent misses with a low kick.
Kent doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kent uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kush.

Kush fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kent manages to avoid it.
Kush is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Kush misses with the combination.
Kush throws a body punch but Kent moves out of range.
Kush looks to score with a jab to the body but Kent is just out of range.
Kush lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kent at a distance.
Kent showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kush cracks Kent with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Randall Kent has been cut.
Kush throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kent follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Kent moves out of range as Kush strikes.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kush. Kent does a little dance to reset his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randall Kent dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Randall Kent's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kush throws a right hand that Kent ducks under and follows up with a left that Kent also avoids with ease.
Kent connects with a leg kick. Kush looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Kent throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A shot to the body from Kush misses
and Kent counters with a leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kent.
Kush swings for the body but Kent moves out of range.
Kent scoring well with a low kick there.
Kush on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kent. Kent obviously looking to wear him down.
Kent throws a nice inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kush swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kush takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kent lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jay Kush is winning the standup battle so far.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kush crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kent - the referee stops the clock and Kush gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kent. Kush manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Kent is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kush keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Kent fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kush.
Kent throws a quick inside leg kick.
Kent slips a jab and a cross from Kush.
Kush is looking to wear down Kent with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kush just misses with a punch to the body.
Kent misses with a head kick.
It looked like Kush was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kent.
Kent walks into a straight right hand from Kush.
Kent connects with a solid leg kick.
Kush scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kent avoids the body shot from Kush.
Kent misses with a body kick.
Kush has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Kush takes a swing at Kent's ribcage but misses.

Kent displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kush throws out the jab.

Kush throws a lazy right hand but Kent sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kush waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kent.
As Kush backs off Kent throws a huge counter combo but Kush manages to avoid it all.
Kush throws a jab but it's blocked by Kent.
Kush rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kent moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kush backing away here, and Kent unleashes a leg kick that just misses.

and Kush counters with a series of strikes. Kent will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kush thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kush throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Kent crashing down! Kent tries to stagger back to his feet but Kush just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Kent asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Kush!
A very excited looking Jay Kush made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
