The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mei shoots in and bounces Jenkins off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mei postures up in Jenkins's guard and throws a big left but Jenkins blocks it.
Jenkins keeping moving, preventing Mei from controlling successfully.
Jenkins has momentary wrist control but Mei slips an elbow through the middle.
Jenkins is trying to control the position but Mei postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Mei counters with a single leg into guard. Jenkins didn't expect that.

Mei is looking to advance position but Jenkins has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
