PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perry Roscrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samart Payakaroon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roscrow might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wicked Gil. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samart Payakaroon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payakaroon walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Roscrow checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Payakaroon throws a body shot but no joy.
Roscrow shoots in but no luck this time.
Payakaroon chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Roscrow shoots in and bounces Payakaroon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Roscrow wants to control from the top but Payakaroon keeps moving.
Payakaroon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Roscrow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Payakaroon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roscrow's guard.

Payakaroon connects with a couple of short punches.

It looks like Perry Roscrow has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roscrow isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Payakaroon stacks Roscrow on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Payakaroon!

Payakaroon tries to escape but Roscrow has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Roscrow is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Payakaroon has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
I really don't envy Payakaroon right now.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Payakaroon is really stuck here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Payakaroon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roscrow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Roscrow tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Payakaroon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roscrow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Payakaroon has managed to get both his arms back between Roscrow's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Payakaroon wants to pass the guard but Roscrow is keeping the position.
Payakaroon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Roscrow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Roscrow gets back to half guard.
Roscrow has a hand on Payakaroon's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Payakaroon takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
