The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristapoff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jilom.

Kristapoff is looking to work some ground and pound but Jilom has wrist control.
Kristapoff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jilom swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kristapoff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kristapoff is working Jilom over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jilom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kristapoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kristapoff advances to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kristapoff is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
