Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chev Chelios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio El Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chelios's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In Waves. Chev Chelios has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Toro on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chelios. Chelios obviously looking to wear him down.

Chelios throws a hook but El Toro blocks it.

El Toro has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Chelios stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chelios wants it to stay on the feet.
It looked like Chelios wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Chelios leaves El Toro with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
El Toro dives in for a single leg takedown but Chelios sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Chelios throws a head kick that half lands.
Julio El Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
El Toro closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

El Toro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chelios but Chelios pushes him off and we're back to square one.
El Toro misses with a takedown attempt - Chelios sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
El Toro bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

El Toro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

El Toro seems to have recovered his senses.

Horrible takedown attempt by El Toro or perhaps it was just good defense by Chelios, which made it look bad.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chev Chelios.
