Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laitela takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Van Den Berg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Laitela feints and as Van Den Berg raises his hands in defense, Laitela changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Laitela is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laitela frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Laitela is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Van Den Berg can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Laitela is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Van Den Berg has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Laitela has hold of Van Den Berg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Van Den Berg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Van Den Berg turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Laitela off and cradles Van Den Berg's limp body as Laitela celebrates with his corner.
