Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman comes to the ring accompanied by Old Firm Casuals - Better start running. The key to victory for Nate Freeman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nate Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Freeman to the mat! Freeman manages to get full guard.
Snow controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Snow stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Snow clinches up against the ropes.

Freeman manages to break the clinch.

Snow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Freeman is trying to defend but Snow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Freeman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Snow keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Freeman is trying to break the clinch but Snow is controlling him.

Freeman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Freeman throws a right hand that Snow ducks under and follows up with a left that Snow also avoids with ease.
Freeman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Snow has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Freeman as he jumps to the side.
Snow darts in trying to clinch
and Freeman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Snow fails with a takedown attempt.
Freeman is looking to counter with head kicks.
Nate Freeman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Snow.

Freeman stuffs the takedown attempt from Snow. Snow gets slowly back to his feet.
A big right from Freeman misses.
Snow darts in looking for a takedown but Freeman gets double underhooks and turns Snow into the ropes.
Freeman went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Nate Freeman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Freeman drops Snow with a nice combination! Freeman dives into Snow's guard, looking to finish!


Snow is rocked!


It looks like Jon Snow has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Freeman wants to get up but he can't break Snow's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Snow is still in real trouble! Can Freeman finish him?
Snow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Snow seems to have recovered his senses.

Snow is working an open guard so Freeman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Snow avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Snow wants to counter the offense by Freeman and move into the clinch position.
Snow doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Freeman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Snow closes the distance and pushes Freeman back into the ropes.
Freeman stops a takedown attempt from Snow.
A frustrated look appears on Freeman's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Snow prevents Freeman from breaking the clinch.
Freeman looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Freeman can't break the clinch.
Snow tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Freeman tries to circle away but Snow has him pinned against the ropes.
Freeman is trying to break the clinch but Snow has him pressed against the ropes.
Freeman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Snow has a takedown stuffed.

Freeman lands with a hook. Snow tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Freeman loads up on a big right hand but Snow slips the punch.
Freeman looks to throw the jab but Snow is out of range.
Snow wants to clinch but Freeman slips to the side

and Freeman counters with a right hand that sends Snow tumbling to the canvas! Can Freeman finish him? He dives into Snow's guard looking to do just that!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Freeman stands up from guard. Let's bang!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Snow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Freeman sprawls well. Freeman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Snow gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
