PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between ALI BASHIR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fausto Folgore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Folgore has chosen TNT as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, ALI BASHIR!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BASHIR fails with a takedown attempt.

BASHIR shoots in and bounces Folgore off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
BASHIR wants to stand but Folgore has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Folgore throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
BASHIR postures up in Folgore's guard and throws a big left but Folgore blocks it.
Folgore looking to control.

Folgore has his foot on BASHIR's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. BASHIR works his way back into a safe position though.

Folgore looking for a guillotine here but BASHIR defends easily.

Folgore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. BASHIR doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. BASHIR manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

BASHIR trying to control the position from guard on top but Folgore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Folgore has a closed guard, preventing BASHIR from standing up.
BASHIR has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Folgore is looking for a triangle but BASHIR pushes his legs off easily.
Folgore looks gassed!
Folgore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

BASHIR decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Folgore, up you get!

Folgore gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

BASHIR drops back looking for a leg! Folgore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Folgore manages to kick BASHIR off! BASHIR jumps back into Folgore's guard.

Folgore looking for a triangle here. BASHIR is fighting it but it looks tight! Folgore pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, BASHIR is tapping out - this one is all over!
