Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dana Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Cthulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Solomon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Cthulu has closed the distance and engaged Solomon in a clinch.

Cthulu has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Solomon regains guard immediately.

Solomon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cthulu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cthulu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Solomon was covering up waiting for the punch and Cthulu finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Solomon is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cthulu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cthulu!

Solomon stands and steps away. Cthulu gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Cthulu pushes Solomon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Solomon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Cthulu darts in and clinches Solomon up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cthulu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Cthulu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Solomon backs up against the cage.

Kid Cthulu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cthulu, as that shot connected.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Solomon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cthulu's waist but Cthulu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Solomon off to one side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Cthulu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Solomon bucks up and tries to throw Cthulu off but instead Cthulu has got his back!

Cthulu is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Solomon defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Well Cthulu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
