Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corvo Attano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Burton is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Burton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corvo Attano!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attano misses with an uppercut.
Nice uppercut lands for Burton. That snapped Attano's head back.
Burton tries to land a front kick but Attano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And Attano tries to counter it with a takedown but Burton pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Burton cracks Attano with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Attano checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Attano swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Attano tries to sprawl but Burton drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Burton has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Attano told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Burton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Attano connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Burton scrambles back to his feet.

and Burton counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Attano throws out a loose jab but Burton uses good head movement to avoid it.

Burton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Burton.
Well Burton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
