The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegata pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.

Gracie blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Vegata tries to land knees in the clinch but Gracie avoids the damage to the body.

Gracie tries to counter with a takedown but Vegata is quick to defend against it.
Vegata uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gracie.
Vegata tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vegata moves into range and clinches up with Gracie.

Vegata connects with a nasty looking knee right to Gracie's face.
Gracie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Antonio Vegata is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vegata paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gracie looks to land a right hand but Vegata moved out of range.
Gracie digs a good hook to Vegata's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vegata forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches.
Gracie is working Vegata over against the cage.

Gracie avoids the body shot from Vegata.

Antonio Vegata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Antonio Vegata has been cut.
Vegata on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Vegata walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Gracie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Vegata fails in his attempt to clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vegata. That's going to slow Gracie down.
Vegata misses with a wild combination.
Vegata looks up at the clock. Bad move! Gracie lands a right hand from hell, dropping Vegata. Gracie pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
