The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz looks to land a combination. Freedom sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Chip Freedom has been cut.
Diaz keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Freedom.
Freedom takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Diaz cracks a nice hook into Freedom's ribs.
Diaz dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz lands a lovely overhand right.

Freedom tries a head kick but it misses.
Freedom looks to throw the jab but Diaz is out of range.

A little jabbing left from Diaz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Chip Freedom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Freedom drops his hands momentarily and Diaz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Freedom takes a jab right on the kisser.
Diaz has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Freedom is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Freedom looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Freedom fails to land with a series of punches.
