Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ligerito Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buck Futter!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Futter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jr.
Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Futter tries to avoid it but Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Futter to the ground. Futter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Futter swings for the body but Jr moves out of range.
It looked like Jr wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jr has been working on his balance at Netherlands Top Team & KT, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Futter.
Jr fails with the takedown.
Futter changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ligerito Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Futter sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Futter to the mat! Futter manages to get full guard.
Futter is looking for a triangle but Jr pushes his legs off easily.
Futter is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Jr has his hands clasped together but Futter extends and breaks Jr's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Futter.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Buck Futter!
Buck Futter gave a mention to KAISER in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
