The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Mckee makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Mckee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rodriguez.
Mckee throws a quick counter kick to the body but Rodriguez avoids it.
Mckee really is a fat lump.

Mckee darts in and clinches Rodriguez up against the cage.

Mckee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mckee napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mckee can't do much from the bottom here.
Mckee tries to bench press Rodriguez off him but Rodriguez keeps the position.
Mckee is trying to control Rodriguez's posture but Rodriguez avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mckee is trying to improve his position.
Mckee can't do much from the bottom here.

Mckee tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mckee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground.

Rodriguez has hold of Mckee's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mckee tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Rodriguez cranks the arm and Mckee screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mckee, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
