Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Malone Jr gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Malone Jr tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fenix is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Malone Jr buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Malone Jr!! Malone Jr is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fenix throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Fenix!
After the fight, Marcus Fenix was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Zoey Malone Jr spoke after the fight, saying 'What a load of shit'.
