The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pope moves into the clinch successfully.
Caram lands a damaging elbow.

It looks like Loyd Pope has been cut.
Caram managing to block the knees to the body from Pope.
Caram blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Pope tries to land knees in the clinch but Caram avoids the damage to the body.

Caram lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pope backwards.

Caram has picked Pope up - he's going for a ride! Caram dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Caram seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pope for as long as he can get away with.

Caram fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pope, pushing him back against the cage.

Pope tries to stall but Caram uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Caram is pushing Pope up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Whack! Caram lands a heavy head kick that drops Pope. The ref tackles Caram to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Pope was done.
