Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Battery Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grappler Striking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striking circles away from the clinch attempt.
Striking keeps the fight on the outside.
Maximus fails with an attempt to clinch.

Striking digs a right hand into Maximus's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Maximus's gas tank.

It looks like Battery Maximus has been cut.

Striking lands with a nice combination. Maximus backs away looking to recover.
Maximus is breathing heavily.
Striking shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maximus but Maximus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Striking dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Striking has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maximus's face.
Maximus's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Striking tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Striking with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Striking swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maximus is now in Striking's guard. A big mistake from Striking there, giving up the dominant position!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are battling for position here. Striking manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Striking throws a hook to the side of Maximus's head but Maximus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Maximus is covering up but some of the strikes from Striking are getting through and doing damage.

Striking lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Maximus hold on?!

Striking has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Maximus! Can he survive? No! He's out! Striking gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
