PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andres Uray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uray's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fight . We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uray lands a big head kick that sends Hall tumbling to the mat! Uray takes a step backwards and waves Hall back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Robert Hall has been cut.

Hall rushes Uray and presses him up against the cage.

Hall pulls guard successfully.

Hall scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Uray takes the fight into the clinch.
Uray with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Hall drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Uray decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hall, up you get!
Uray throws a quick inside leg kick.

Hall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Uray quickly recovers to half guard.

Uray makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Uray wants to clinch
and Hall counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Hall closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Uray lands a knee to the head.

Hall has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Uray clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Uray is looking for a way out.
Uray is in bad spot here.
Hall scores with punches to the body.
Hall lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Hall is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Uray is defending well though. Hall let's go of the attempt for now.
Uray is trying to remain composed but Hall is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Hall scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Uray is trapped and Hall is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Hall is landing with strikes. Uray can't take much more of this.
Uray just trying to survive but Hall is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hall is punishing Uray with some ground and pound.
Hall is trying to control but Uray is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Uray tries to reverse the position but Hall maintains control.
Uray is breathing heavily.
Uray sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Uray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uray has hold of Hall's hands but Hall slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Hall seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Uray is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Robert Hall!
Robert Hall opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
