Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Truck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Truck moves into the clinch successfully.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Diaz tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Truck avoids it.

Truck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Diaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Truck is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Diaz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Truck drops down looking for an ankle pick but Diaz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Pedro Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Truck.
Truck feints a jab promting Diaz to slip. Truck then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Diaz slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Truck closes the distance and pushes Diaz back into the cage.

Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Truck defends it nicely.
Diaz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Truck will feel that in the morning.

Truck prevents the takedown attempt.

Truck is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Diaz is keeping busy.
Truck should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Diaz obliges.

Truck's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Diaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Truck on his heels. He'll look to pass Truck's guard now, I'm sure.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Truck is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Truck swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Truck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Pedro Diaz will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Diaz goes for a double leg but Truck avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Truck continues to drive forward.

Truck fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Diaz sprawls well initially but Truck persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Truck has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Diaz is on him like a limpet, forcing Truck back against the cage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pedro Diaz will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Truck pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Diaz enables Truck to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diaz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Truck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diaz sprawls well. Diaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Truck gets slowly back to his feet.

Diaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Truck on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Truck connects with a nice short shot to Diaz's temple.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
