Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam McGuiness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kron Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuiness's entrance music is The Boys are Back by Dropkick Murphys. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kron Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuiness rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Vieira counters with a right hand to the body.
Vieira shoots in for a takedown but McGuiness shows good takedown defense.
McGuiness seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Vieira shoots in but McGuiness avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Vieira gets a double leg takedown into McGuiness's guard.
Vieira is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vieira's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kron Vieira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McGuiness instigates a clinch.
I was talking to McGuiness's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Vieira is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McGuiness is defending well for now.
Vieira tries to stall but McGuiness uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Vieira takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kron Vieira is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Vieira takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McGuiness pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McGuiness feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vieira sprawling to the canvas! Vieira rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McGuiness finish him?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGuiness looks to throw the jab but Vieira is out of range.
Vieira shoots in looking for a takedown. McGuiness tries to sprawl out of it but Vieira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGuiness manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McGuiness is looking to counter punch.
Vieira closes this distance looking for a takedown but McGuiness circles away.
McGuiness slaps away a takedown attempt from Vieira, before circling back to the center of the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGuiness throws a looping overhand right but Vieira ducks down to avoid it.
Vieira tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

McGuiness lands a big uppercut and Vieira crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Vieira looks OK. McGuiness waves Vieira back to his feet!


Vieira is rocked!


It looks like Kron Vieira has been cut.
Vieira misses with a takedown
and McGuiness counters with a right hand from hell and Vieira is out cold! A vicious knockout!
