Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bang Arang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tahar Heart!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Arang.
Arang fails to land the takedown.
Heart looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Arang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Heart flicks out a counter leg kick but Arang steps away.
A slow jab from Arang misses its intended target.
Heart steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Arang misses with a takedown attempt - Heart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Despite the aggression on Heart's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bang Arang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Arang has a takedown stuffed.

Arang misses with a takedown attempt
and Heart counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Arang doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Heart counters with a nice leg kick.

Heart gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Arang to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Arang throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Heart wants to stand and escape but Arang is having none of it.

Heart has momentary wrist control but Arang slips an elbow through the middle.
Arang won't allow Heart to get back to his feet.
Arang loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Arang throws a big elbow that misses.

Arang is working Heart over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Arang passes into half guard.
Arang seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Arang seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Heart can do anything to dispel that myth.

Heart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Arang is trying for a kimura here. Heart looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Arang wins by kimura!
