The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goshen connects with the punch.
Goshen throws a series of punches but Lyzes moves out of range.

Goshen sends Lyzes crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Goshen is motioning to the referee to let Lyzes up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Lyzes is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lyzes throws a hook to the side of Goshen's head but Goshen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
An attempted straight right counter from Goshen misses the target.
Goshen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Goshen lands a nice hook to Lyzes's body. Lyzes takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lyzes drops his hands momentarily and Goshen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Lyzes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Goshen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lyzess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Goshen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Goshen throws a sloppy head kick

and Lyzes counters with a takedown into side control.

Lyzes controlling the position easily from mount.
Goshen is looking to get to half guard.

Let's hope that Lyzes has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Goshen is trying desperately to improve position.
Goshen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lyzes on the ground.
Lyzes looking to control but Goshen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lyzes is trying to take his opponent's back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
