Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes to the cage accompanied by Nina simone - Feeling good. Torres has chosen It's My Time-Fabulous as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Aoki.

Aoki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Torres is trying to get back to half guard.
Aoki lands some shots froms side control.
Torres gets back to half guard.

Aoki is looking for a kimura here.
Aoki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Torres is looking to improve his position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Aoki is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Torres defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aoki trying to control the action but Torres is working from the bottom.
Torres tries to roll over but Aoki keeps him under control.

Aoki is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Torres shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Aoki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Torres is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Aoki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Aoki holds on and takes a little breather.

Torres postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aoki is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Torres, into his guard.

Aoki tries to free his leg and advance position but Torres is retaining full guard.

Torres has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aoki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Torres throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Aoki's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Torres wants to sweep but no luck.
Aoki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Torres throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Aoki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Aoki prevents Torres from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torres gets full guard.
Torres manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Torres goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Aoki turns into him and now he's in Torres's guard.
Torres looks gassed!
Aoki controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Aoki forces his way into half guard.

Aoki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Torres is just riding it out for now. Aoki eventually gives up the hold.
Torres missing with punches from the bottom.

Aoki is trying to work for a kimura but Torres is defending well.
Torres tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Torres is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Torres looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Aoki frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Torres looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Aoki looking for the choke but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shinya Aoki dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Torres keeps the fight on the outside.
Torres tries for a takedown but Aoki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Aoki fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Torres sprawls well initially but Aoki persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Torres is trying to get back to full guard.

Torres looking for submissions off his back.
Aoki looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Aoki seems to be working for a kimura but Torres defends the submission attempt.
Torres tries to roll over but Aoki keeps him under control.

Aoki lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Torres gets full guard.
Torres manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Aoki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Torres working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Torres is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Aoki has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Aoki!
Aoki distracts Torres with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Aoki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Aoki trying to control the position from guard on top but Torres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Aoki is looking to work some ground and pound but Torres has wrist control.
Torres trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Torres has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Aoki should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Torres has tightened it up now! Aoki should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
