PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Predator Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Star Dust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes into the arena with Jiu-Jitsu blaring out of the sound system. Dust has chosen Die for Metal as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Predator Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Star Dust!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns misses with a low kick.
Dust swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Burns keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dust.
Burns half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Dust getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Dust.
A big left from Dust misses.
Burns rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Burns slips a jab from Dust.
Dust throws the kick towards the body but Burns avoids it.
Jab, jab by Dust - just one landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dust misses the shot to the body.
Burns changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dust thows a left - swing and a miss!
Burns feinted with a counter takedown.
Dust wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Dust is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burns.
Burns throws a jab when Dust was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns lands with an overhand left.
Burns looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dust throws a big shot that misses.
Dust tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burns appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Dust just misses with a punch to the body.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Dust.
Burns attempts a counter takedown but Dust avoids it well and moves away.
Burns stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dust.
Burns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dust.
Star Dust seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dust lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Good exchange - Dust coming out on top.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dust has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Burns uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dust has time to react.
Burns throws a shot to the body.
Dust throws the left hand but Burns avoids the punch easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Burns misses the target.
Dust throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dust throws a low kick but it's checked well by Burns.
Dust misses with a body punch

and Burns counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Burns.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns looking to sit in guard and control but Dust gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Dust connects with a couple of short punches.
Burns looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Burns not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Burns is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Dust frees his head nicely. Oh but Burns has switched to an armbar! Dust is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Predator Burns!
As Predator Burns got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Thanks guys, I have worked hard and the Burns team got me back on track. I regret not starting my career with Bradley Burns and my family but now I'm home.'.
