Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Dapper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fighter One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Dapper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fighter One!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
One misses with a takedown
and Dapper counters with a three punch combo that has One backing up. One nods at Dapper to acknowledge the strikes.
One shoots for a double leg takedown but Dapper sprawls well. He's pushed One's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sloppy strikes from Dapper. Those never looked like landing.
The fight stays on the outside here - One looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Dapper was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
One avoids a punch combination nicely.

One shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dapper wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
One perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Dapper looks like he's trying to stand up.
One misses with a head shot. Dapper uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
One trying to control but Dapper is working from the bottom.

Dapper is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. One presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
One keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Dapper's efforts to push away.
One wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
One is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dapper pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Joe Dapper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fighter One.
One tries to pull guard but Dapper holds him up against the cage and eventually One drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Dapper's face as he tries to break the clinch.
One jumps guard but Dapper stands there with One around his waist. One gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dapper is pressed up against the cage. One has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dapper down to the mat. Dapper avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
One shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dapper as he jumps to the side.
One wants to clinch up but Dapper keeps it at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
One changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dapper tries to avoid it but One manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dapper to the ground. Dapper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
One wants to clinch.
Dapper throws a big counter combination but One scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Dapper misses with a two punch combination.
One doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
One fails with an attempt to clinch.
One will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
One tries to close the distance and clinch but Dapper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
One tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dapper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten One somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

One throws a low kick, looking for Dapper's leg but Dapper calmly moves out of range.
Dapper throws a series of punches but One moves out of range.
One doesn't manage to clinch there - Dapper circles away.
Dapper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
One steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Dapper.
Dapper is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around?
Dapper circles away from the clinch attempt.
One tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fighter One seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
One misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Dapper is looking for a counter combo.
Joe Dapper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fighter One.
One is breathing heavily.
Dapper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but One circles away quickly and effectively.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from One.
One shoots in looking for a takedown. Dapper tries to sprawl out of it but One keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dapper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dapper went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

A jab-cross combination lands for Dapper and sends One crashing to the mat! Dapper follows him down to the mat - One regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


It looks like Fighter One has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dapper stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows One to get to his feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by One or perhaps it was just good defense by Dapper, which made it look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dapper, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
