The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apolo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A little feinted left hand from Light on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Apolo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Light connects with a looping right hand.
Light misses with a wild body shot.
Light showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Apolo.
Apolo misses with a double jab.
Apolo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Light misses with a looping right.
Light fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Apolo manages to avoid it.
Apolo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Apolo closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Light crashing to the mat! Light uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

Light is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Light dodges the punch combination from Apolo.

Light fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Apolo manages to avoid it.
Apolo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Light is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Apolo just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Light has gone limp and this one is over!

Pepe Apolo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
