PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Uray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Mulligan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uray kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tropic Love. The key to victory for Ricardo Uray has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Drake Mulligan!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Uray.

and Mulligan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mulligan.

Mulligan wants the takedown. Uray is fighting it off but Mulligan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Uray's guard against the cage.
Mulligan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uray is trying to keep Mulligan in close.

My spies in MMA Sanok Training Center inform me that Mulligan has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Drake Mulligan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mulligan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
