Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Allahu Akbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg McConor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConor lands a nice shot to the body.
McConor shoots in looking for a takedown but Akbar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McConor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Akbar tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McConor defends well and Akbar ends up having to push McConor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Akbar shoots in for a takedown but McConor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Greg McConor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McConor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Akbar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Akbar wants to get back to striking at distance but McConor won't allow it.
McConor has Akbar pressed against the cage, preventing Akbar from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
McConor stalling in the clinch but Akbar improves position.
McConor pushes Akbar back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

McConor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akbar tries to avoid it but McConor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akbar to the ground. Akbar escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Allahu Akbar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

As Akbar backs off McConor throws a huge counter combo but Akbar manages to avoid it all.
Horrible takedown attempt by Akbar or perhaps it was just good defense by McConor, which made it look bad.
Despite the aggression on McConor's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
McConor throws a left and a right that both miss
and Akbar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Greg McConor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well McConor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Allahu Akbar spoke after the fight, saying 'Death to America!'.
