Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rory Williams!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Griffin misses

so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Williams stops Griffin from standing up.
Williams wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving.
Williams throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Williams passes easily into side control. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Griffin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Williams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Williams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Williams working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Griffin is pushing Williams's head away, looking to escape. Williams manages to hold on to the position though.
Williams in side control, throwing shots but Griffin defends.

Griffin throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Griffin feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Williams's calf.
Griffin throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Williams throws a body punch but Griffin moves out of range.
It looked like Griffin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Griffin leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Griffin fires out a quick counter leg kick but Williams just manages to avoid it.

Griffin tries a head kick but it misses.
Griffin slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A jab from Williams does it's job there.
Griffin lands with a kick to the temple. Williams shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Williams moves out of range of the body kick.
Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Chris Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Williams.

Williams tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Griffin defends well and Williams ends up having to push Griffin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Griffin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Griffin, which made it look bad.
Williams shoots in and drives through. Griffin sprawls well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Griffin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Williams finds it's way round the side to connect with Griffin's head.

That was a close round but I would say that Chris Griffin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Williams changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Williams is looking for a kimura but Griffin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Williams to get the leverage.

Chris Griffin decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
