Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Clifton Navarro has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Clifton Navarro seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navarro showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thompson .
As Thompson looks to move away, Navarro throws a big counter combo but Thompson just gets out of the way.
Thompson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Thompson lands strikes from half guard.
Navarro looks like he's trying to stand up.
Navarro is trying is best to control the position here.
Navarro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Navarro wants to get back to full guard.
Navarro has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thompson is working away from the top position though.
Thompson seems to be looking for submissions.
Thompson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Thompson passes into side control, despite Navarro's attempt to control the position.
Thompson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Navarro, who protects the arm well.
Navarro is not content to let Thompson control the position.
Navarro tries to buck Thompson off but Thompson is having none of it.
Navarro is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Navarro is trying to control Thompson 's posture but Thompson avoids it.
Thompson has hold of Navarro's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Navarro tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Thompson cranks the arm and Navarro screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Navarro, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Stephen Thompson !
Stephen Thompson took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
