The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danger looks for the body kick but Viel saw that one coming.
Danger scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Danger wants to stand up but Viel has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Viel wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Danger tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Viel.
Viel is looking to improve his position.
Danger moves into full mount! Viel won't be happy about that!
Viel is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Danger stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Viel throws a sloppy head kick and Danger moves out of range easily.
Good leg kick by Danger there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

and Danger counters with an inside leg kick.

Viel tries for a takedown but Danger circles away easily
and Danger counters by moving into the clinch.
Viel misses with the head strike.
Danger turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Danger manages to end up in side control.
Danger advances to full mount.
Viel tries to improve his position but instead Danger has taken his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Viel rolls, trying to escape but Danger keeps control of the position.
Danger really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Viel.
Viel controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Danger is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Viel trying to get back to his feet but Danger is in full control for now.

Viel rolls, trying to escape but Danger keeps control of the position.
Danger is working for a rear naked choke. Viel is not defending it well and Danger has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Viel refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Viel's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
