PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Quizney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grimson Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quizney comes to the cage accompanied by Island People. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robert Quizney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grimson Bob!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quizney misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Bob counters with a nice body kick.
Quizney throws a nice looking combination but Bob bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quizney fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Bob pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Quizney bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bob's head.

It looks like Grimson Bob has been cut.
Quizney sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Quizney shoots in but no luck this time.
A head kick misses from Bob.
Quizney is looking to counter the offense by Bob and move into the clinch.
Bob cracks Quizney with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Bob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bob sends Quizney crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Bob is motioning to the referee to let Quizney up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Robert Quizney has been cut.
Quizney gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Bob gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Quizney is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Grimson Bob!
In his post fight interview, Grimson Bob started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
