Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Popper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Laterreur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Laterreur is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Laterreur!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laterreur decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Laterreur is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Popper is looking to escape.
Laterreur with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Laterreur is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Popper keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Popper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Popper wants to stand back up but Laterreur manages to pass into side control.
Laterreur taking a breather here.
Laterreur tries to stand but Popper is controlling his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee asks Laterreur politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Laterreur prefers to stall for the moment though.
Let's hope that Laterreur has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Popper gets tackled into the cage by Laterreur. Laterreur maintains the clinch.
Popper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Laterreur fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Laterreur takes the fight into the clinch.
Laterreur is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Popper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Laterreur clinches up with Popper and pushes him back against the cage.
Laterreur ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Laterreur no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Laterreur is pulling down on Popper's head. It's preventing any offense from Popper, at least for the moment.
Popper has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Laterreur to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Popper is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Laterreur pulls down on the head and he's put Popper to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Bobby Laterreur!
