Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieneke tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
An inside leg kick lands from Wieneke.
Wieneke tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.
Wieneke throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thompson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Wieneke fails to land with a series of punches.
Wieneke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thompson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thompson appears to be looking for a big counter.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wieneke.
Wieneke fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thompson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

As Wieneke looks to move away, Thompson throws a big counter combo but Wieneke just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thompson, as that shot connected.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wieneke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Thompson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Wieneke changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Thompson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hunter Thompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marius Wieneke.
Wieneke looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thompson is fending him off so far but Wieneke persists. Nope, Thompson circles away and we're back to standing.
Thompson throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Wieneke stumbling backwards into the cage! Wieneke bounces back off the cage towards Thompson, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Thompson lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Thompson celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hunter Thompson!
Hunter Thompson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
