These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

As De Santo Cristo backs away, Clap returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Clap thuds his shin into the meat of De Santo Cristo's side.
Clap throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
De Santo Cristo shoots for a double leg takedown but Clap sprawls well. He's pushed De Santo Cristo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Clap appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Clap comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Clap, as that shot connected.

De Santo Cristo tries to land a front kick but Clap steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
