The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Attela circles away.
Attela misses with the combination.
Attela misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Herman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Herman has been working on his balance at Highland CT & Spar, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Attela.
A combination from Attela does no damage.

Attela Attela seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Attela throws a series of punches but Herman avoids them all with ease.

Herman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
The fighters circle momentarily. Attela darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Walter Herman has been cut.

Attela leaves Herman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Attela lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Herman goes down and covers up as Attela starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

After winning the bout, Attela Attela thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
