The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Kala, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kala shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Campion defends it nicely.

Kala moves into range and clinches up with Campion.
Kala crunches a lovely knee into Campion's ribcage.
Kala lands a shoulder strike.

Kala lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kala keeps control of Campion as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Campion bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Campion is chipping away with strikes.

Campion is trying to get an arm triangle but Kala is defending well.
Campion just content to control the position.

Campion is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kala has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kala parries the strikes from Campion easily there. Campion is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kala to escape.

Campion is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kala knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kala wants to control but Campion postures up.

Kala really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Campion. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kala is working to avoid the ground and pound but Campion connects with a decent elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Campion throws a strike aimed at the side of Kala's head but Kala avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Campion is working to tighten his grip on Kala's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kala has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Campion is really squeezing tight and eventually Kala passes out! Campion breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
