The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kothciushco gets tackled into the cage by Stevens. Stevens maintains the clinch.

Stevens decides to pull guard.
Kothciushco throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stevens works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Stevens is looking for a triangle but Kothciushco pushes his legs off easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Krzysztof Kothciushco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Kothciushco takes the fight into the clinch.

Stevens is trying to pull guard but Kothciushco turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Stevens is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kothciushco gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Stevens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kothciushco avoids it really well and circles away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kothciushco dips to his left and cracks Stevens with an uppercut!

Stevens is rocked!
Stevens walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Kothciushco swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
