Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darth Guard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christoffer Widda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darth Guard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christoffer Widda!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Widda moves into the clinch.

Widda pulls guard.
Guard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Widda wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Guard controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Guard tries to free his leg and advance position but Widda is retaining full guard.
Widda is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Guard advances position into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guard trying to control the position but Widda is working away.

Guard tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Guard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Guard tries for a kimura but Widda is defending well.
Widda tries to buck Guard off but Guard is having none of it.
Widda tries to escape but Guard is in control.

Guard is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Widda has escaped the position, nice work there.

Guard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Guard advances to full mount.
Widda is squirming around, avoiding Guard's attempts to control the action.

Guard is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Widda to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Widda shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Guard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Widda is squirming around, avoiding Guard's attempts to control the action.
Guard avoids the attempt from Widda to control.
Guard tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Guard tries to control but Widda wriggling away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Guard is working for a guillotine from mount but Widda frees his head quite easily.
Widda can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darth Guard dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Widda slips under a jab from Guard.
Good work by Guard as he checks the leg kick.
Widda scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Widda tries to clinch there but Guard circles away.
Guard changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Guard gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Widda trying to control the position from guard on top but Guard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Guard looking for a triangle here. Widda is fighting it but it looks tight! Guard pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Widda is tapping out - this one is all over!
